WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Winemaker: Kerry G. Damskey Palmeris 2004 Napa Valley Wild Boar labeled Syrah from Stagecoach Vineyard showcases the best this single vineyard designation has to offer, brilliant complexity, dark berry fruit, licorice, coffee and cigar box, with wafts of slightly savory aromas. Delicious. Purple black with a lovely youthful intensity, drawing you in with luscious New World boldness. This fruit forward mountain Syrah offers the invitingly seductive aromas found in Napas world class high elevation Syrah vineyards. The vineyards, planted on steep rocky slopes overlooking the panorama of Napa Valley have reached full maturity, showing the true pedigree of the clones and earth that make up the Terroirs of Stagecoach. Jan Krupp, friend and viticulturalist, prizes the steep southern exposure of Palmeris block, carefully leafing and pruning the vines to offer the greatest intensity. $53 |
